Role Overview
A Local Council EHC Team is seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide one-to-one educational support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The tutor will focus on teaching Maths and English to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who are unable to attend traditional educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1:1 Maths and English tutoring sessions
- Plan and adapt educational content for students with special needs
- Provide flexible teaching sessions between 1-5 hours per day
- Support students' individual learning requirements
Requirements
- Valid teaching qualification
- Proven experience working with students with EHCPs
- Strong ability to plan and deliver targeted educational sessions
- Genuine passion for supporting young people's educational development
