Role Overview
As an Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing personalized one-to-one or small group support in mainstream and special educational settings. Your role will focus on creating individualized learning plans and implementing tailored teaching strategies to support diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tutoring to SEN students in schools and home settings
- Adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles
- Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to track student progress
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student development
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills
- Encourage independent learning and build student confidence
Requirements
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
- Understanding of various SEN categories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
