Role Overview
A part-time catering assistant position supporting the hospitality department at Bishop Burton College, responsible for delivering excellent food service and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking
- Serve meals, snacks, and beverages
- Handle cash and card transactions
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Report equipment faults
- Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Contribute to team discussions on service improvement
Requirements
- Previous experience in food or bar environment
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- GCSE Maths or equivalent
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure
