Role Overview
A specialized tutoring position supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), focusing on personalized, multi-sensory educational approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Plan and implement bespoke, multi-sensory curriculum integrating music, sensory play, and creative activities
- Adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs
- Support students' social, emotional, and communication development
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and professional support networks
Requirements
- Experience working with children/young people with SEN/PMLD
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse student populations
- Confidence in multi-sensory and music-based learning approaches
- Understanding of safeguarding protocols
