Role Overview
Big Creative Training (BCT) is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Tutor to work with 14-16-year-old students in an alternative provision educational setting. The role focuses on supporting learners with diverse educational needs, promoting their academic progress, personal development, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individual learners in achieving their personal education plan targets
- Implement personalized learning approaches tailored to students' specific needs
- Manage behavioral interventions and learning barriers
- Encourage student attendance, punctuality, and self-directed learning
- Collaborate with tutors, parents, and external stakeholders
- Record and track academic progress
- Develop inclusive and supportive learning environments
Requirements
- Experience working with SEN learners
- Knowledge of educational health care plans (EHCPs)
- Strong behavior management and safeguarding skills
- Adaptable and team-oriented approach
- Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent
